BIOGRAPHY

Cornelius Edmund Sullivan was born in Cochituate, Massachusetts , the son of John Cornelius Sullivan and Kathleen Bridget Sewell. He attended Marian High School in Framingham, MA and was the captain of the Football and Basketball teams and was the first All-State, All Conference All Star from Marian High School in football.. He studied Physics at Boston  College and then completed a Batchelor of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design in Sculpture in 1991 and a Master of Fine Arts from The University of Miami in 1996.

Edmund was married to the late Winona Yahn Sullivan, mother of seven of his children, novelist, and Professor of Writing. Winona was a model in New York, then an Analyst for The United States Central Intelligence Agency. She became known for her mystery storey series The Sister Cecile Mysteries published by Saint Martins Press.

C. Edmund Sullivan is a marble sculptor from Boston and he is finishing a book about the unique carving methods of Michelangelo. For many years he was an Artist in Residence for the City of Cambridge, MA School Department. At the same time he served as the elected Artist's Representative to The Board of Directors of The Boston Center for the Arts. Mr. Sullivan has taught at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, The University of Miami, The University of Miami School of Architecture. He was the Assistant Chair of the Division of Visual Arts at International Fine Arts College in Miami, Florida. His works are in many private collections and in universities and museums.

He has been a lecturer and consultant in Rome for www.ContextRome.com  leading the "Caravaggio Seminar", and tours of "Arte Vaticana", and "Galleria Borghese", and "Drawing Rome".
