THREE CROSSES
I was surprised by this light on the painting on December 8, 2007, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The light was reflected and refracted into colors of the spectrum by a mirror on the opposite wall of the studio. It was encouraging to have this on a painting that I am still working on, but at the same time, humbling to realize that to try to create light with gooey oil paint is a futile endeavor.
